  • Drawing in the Dark

    Cookie Factory, 425 W 4th Ave

Drawing in the Dark is an invitation to slow down inside Gary Simmons’s chalkboard installation where history is written, layered, erased, and written again.

Participants will move through the exhibition in phases of light and darkness. As the light shifts, you’ll draw what you see, then what you feel, letting your lines blur, change, and evolve, just like the histories Simmons is asking us to question.

Leave with a few imperfect sketches and a deeper sense of how memory, power, and imagination keep rewriting the story.
