Alejandra is well-known in Denver for her passionate dancing and for embracing her true self without worrying about what others think. “Music and dancing elevate the inner spirit, allowing us TO BE instead of merely TO EXIST. Latino culture and salsa music unleash our inner passions and help us conquer our fears. Our Denver community craves the enlightenment that comes from self-expression through dance—connecting with our bodies and embracing new rhythms”.
Mike Rubino Cashino
Mike Rubino Cashino, born in 1991, is a queer artist based in Denver, Colorado, specializing in painting and installation art.
“Through my work, I strive to attain a deeper understanding of human emotions and the inherent longing for humans to seek connections with nature.
In addition to painting, I enjoy sculpting and making botanically inspired 3D displays.
As I continue to make art and curate spaces, I hope to connect with my community, to honor my queerness, and to open pathways of emotional connection by using my mind and body to create.”

I’m an oil painter based in Denver, CO, with a focus on painting the people in her community. The people volunteering to be painted are put in a vulnerable position, by allowing others to perceive them only based off a short description and their painted image. They give a lot of trust to me as an artist to best represent them and their answers to questions about their identity.
