Born in NYC, Matinée Social Club is making its Denver debut at Invisible City.

Love dancing, but also love a good night’s rest? (👀 Looking at you Millennials.) With @matinee.nyc, you can have both.

It’s a “night time” dance party that lets you have a wild night out…and be home by 11pm.

The party starts at 5pm, peaks at 8, over at 10. Oh and they serve pizza around 7pm to give you a second wind.

Hosted by a few of NYC’s funkiest disco & house DJs, Matinée has been selling out one of New York’s most beloved discos with sets that past Matineers have called “an undeniable feel good sound” and “the best night of my life”.

Musically, the creative brief is to inspire a sense of play. Matinée DJs do that with a creative contemporary groove that blends modern & classic disco, b-side funk, vocal house, and dance tracks from all decades.

The Matinée Mission

Nightlife pretty much only caters to 20 somethings. Matinee wants to change that.

We’re working to create a space where 30 somethings (and beyond) can step away from adult responsibilities and let loose for a while – creating memories with old friends and hopefully make some new ones.

With that, we strive to make sure our events are never more than Millennial comfortable crowded and never obnoxiously loud. Also, we love beautiful spaces with good seating, but more so a good dance floor.

Vosters is a nomadic DJ that spent the past decade in NYC nightlife and now splits time between NYC, Denver, & Mexico. He started Matinée as a party for him and his 30-something friends. The goal was just to have a place where they could get together with good music and good people to celebrate life…but at an hour they could all agree on. As the parties kept selling out, Matinée quickly grew into a community of more than 25k. Now, with the help of some friends, he’s excited to bring Matinée to his second home, the Mile High City.
