Little Talks on Big Ideas Series
Join us at 6:30 pm on Thursday the 12th for Little Talks on Big Ideas and connect with those daring to operate at the ‘edge’ and who are expanding what we deem possible.
Bar service opens at 5pm. Talks at 7pm. Mingle with fellow members and guests at 8pm.
How much do you rely on technology to get you around? In a world where we can navigate virtually anywhere at the touch of a button, can we really find our way? Join Matthew as he brings us on an adventure into the unknown. You’ll learn a little, laugh a little, and walk away with a new perspective on getting around with just a map and compass.
Matthew Fox’s commitment and love began with a night time orienteering event in Palos Park IL. He’s participated in, co-organized, and taught others in events across North America. Forging lifelong friendships, overcoming fantastic challenges, and deepening his relationship with himself fuels his passion for the sport. With a background in multi-sport racing, coaching, and volunteering, Matthew brings a wealth of experience and passion to orienteering. When he’s not mentoring others as a digital project manager, you’ll find him in the gym, hiking somewhere in the front range, or speaking at a Toastmasters event.
