Invisible City Presents: Prom

PROM
One word that evokes a memory of a night to remember, a night to forget, or a night that never was. Whether it’s a re-live, a re-do or totally new, this night is for you.
We invite you to create your perfect prom, in its many iterations. Pick a character, find your date (s), don that dress, and let’s get down like it was…whatever decade you want. Three rooms blending a musical medley of 80’s, house, disco, live artists, and immersive throwback characters galore.
Recommended Attire: Whatever prom means to you. Outrageous tuxedos, billowing ballgowns, character from high school past, real or imaginary. Let’s get weird.
Principal’s Office: Been naughty? Go straight to the Principal’s office to be disciplined.
Introverts Social: Join us at the punch bowl for the introverts social to talk to others that just need a break, or are mustering the courage to ask their crush to dance.
Balloon Popping Dance Battles: How many balloons can you keep off the floor between two bodies without popping them?
Behind the Bleachers: Re-enact your first kiss or read your first love note. Or like, whatever.
Roaming Characters: An evolving band of characters from prom’s past, waiting to be discovered.

Neon Cowboy

Byles
Byles is a Denver-based DJ who has been bringing his disco-house-inspired style to dancefloors and events for nearly a decade. His resume includes performances supporting Cheat Codes, Aminé and Shae District at venues like Beacon and Larimer Lounge. Check out his Ultraviolet Radio series on Soundcloud to hear his affinity for unique new presentations of classic tunes, heavily influenced by artists such as Disclosure, Barry Can’t Swim and Channel Tres.
Sinna-G
If you haven’t heard Sinna-G (sounds like: “synergy”) spinnin’ her magic, you don’t know what you’ve been missing! Sinna-G is a female DJ & On-Air Radio Personality, with her home base in the Denver, Colorado area, that is turning the club world and listening audience on its ear! She has been making a name in the DJ World since her start in 1999, as well as Denver since moving there in late 2010.
She specializes in Vocal House, Top 40 Remixes/Mash-Ups, Progressive House, Soulful House, Minimal, Tech House, Deep House, Lounge, Electro & more, and is known for her long, creative mixes.

Willbeaux
Willbeaux is a Denver-based House Music Producer and DJ who has been creating music akin to Chris Lake, Avicii, and Dom Dolla.
Principal
He would rather not be over seeing disciplinary actions during the prom this year, but the antics of the student body have him waiting in his office. Working closely with the teacher’s pet, the principal is collecting demerit slips and dishing out punishment, all in honor of the straight and narrow. He can be bribed though.
Helicopter Mom
She’s a self declared “cool mom” who decided she needed to be at the prom to make sure everything goes smoothly. Get your photo taken, get some advice, and there may be something in it for you and you let her know how cool she is.
The Deviant
A meddling, rebellious trickster who is convincing people to play spin the bottle, truth or dare, and pawn off herbal cigarettes while the rest of the good kid students are at the dance. He’s got no time for what the preps and jocks thinks are important. Seek him out behind the bleachers for all the gossip and a rebellious escape from normality.
Teacher’s Pet
The teacher’s pet took it upon herself to organize the whole Prom this year. She’s on the lookout for anyone who might be breaking the rules and sabotaging all her work. Dress code, dance code…attitude code? She’s a hawk with a book of demerit slips. Cross her and you’ll end up in the principal’s office.
PE Coach
A stalwart for progress, un bothered by the prom, he’s set up physical tests and training in the gymnasium for those that know that excellence is made when other’s are at leisure (at least that’s what he tells everyone). His shorts are a little too short and so is his temper. You’ll be in his good graces if you’ve got a good v sit and reach.
Last Year’s Prom Queen
Last year was her year, she was the Prom Queen nobody wanted but every body got. This year she’s back to reclaim her title, and she’s pushy. Her victory is unlikely, the lack of favorability of last year has bubbled over and now she’s struggling with her own self esteem. She’s spending her time at PROM working to garner votes, it’s only about whether she wins or not. The night culminates with the announcement of the new king and Queen, she’s making a scene either way.
