What would you do if you had the courage? That question has driven a decade of Courage Club events. From San Francisco to Puerto Rico, people have rewired their relationship to fear.

Now, as we resume a monthly gathering in Colorado, you’re invited to discover what you’ll do with a little more daring. This is a place where it’s okay to be afraid. Where you get to listen to the fears you’ve kept stiff-armed at a safe distance. Learn from those fears. Maybe even eventually laugh about them. Here, the whispers of what you really want are allowed to get a little louder.

You’ll also hear others’ stories of doubt & daring so you know you’re not alone in where you’re scared or what you wish for. This is not a fear 101 workshop where you sit quietly and take notes. It’s an interactive exploration as we build courage in community.

Galen Bernard

A facilitator, coach, and community designer, Galen helps people build courage & connection. He started Courage Club in 2015 for people to explore how to be with fear. This work has taken him all across the country for the past decade, leading public events and private trainings for schools, accelerators, businesses, and leadership programs, plus 1-1 coaching sessions. Certified in peer support and somatic attachment therapy, his work also draws on polyvagal theory, exposure therapy, positive psychology, and the occasional Pema Chodron reference.

He previously supported people doing work they love and growing together as events director at Nurture in Denver. As a kid, he needed a nightlight for sleepovers because he was afraid of the dark.
