Invisible City is broadening its reach to provide our members with personal development opportunities by drawing upon the heritage of the Chautauqua movement. Chautauquas were small gatherings hosted all over the country that originated in the late 19th century with speakers, panel discussions, and cultural events that inspired citizens to help each other go bigger in their personal and professional lives.

Our new partner, Civico, has relaunched the Chautauqua movement through its monthly ‘Purpose Hours’. Drawing upon a hundred year recipe of convening speakers, local musicians and artists, executives, public servants and entrepreneurs, Purpose Hours bring this heritage to life to inspire and connect civic energy and create new possibilities. Limited to 100 participants, events are hosted each third Thursday of every month with hors d’oeuvres, a local musician and a range of topics ranging from personal development, public policy, business development and current socioeconomic trends affecting Colorado and beyond.
