All are welcome to this class. Dance will unlock your inner self and this is the outlet you’ve been waiting for. Inspired by all styles, this class will explore basic dance skills for you to satisfy your internal drive to jive.
Recommended attire is nothing too formal, loose fitting or movement clothing, and comfortable shoes. Heels are not recommended for this class.
Nickolas Buchanan
Nickolas, born and raised in Michigan, grew up on a mixtape of sounds—everything from lively Polkas and smooth Motown vibes to the thunderous roar of Metal and the raw poetry of Hip Hop. Hardcore music threw him into mosh pits, Detroit’s club scene introduced him to techno, and jazz led him straight to swing. Movement is in his DNA, and there’s no turning back.
For over 20 years, Nickolas has immersed himself in a wide range of dance styles, from American vernacular dances and Hip-Hop to Latin, Contemporary, and beyond. He’s also deeply committed to his fitness practice, specializing in kettlebells, calisthenics, roller skating, skateboarding, trail running, cycling, and fight training, weaving these disciplines into his broader movement philosophy. With two decades of teaching experience, he’s traveled coast-to-coast and across Europe, sharing his passion and lighting up dance floors wherever he goes.
Nickolas is all about passing on that wellness. Whether it’s teaching people how to groove, learn choreographies, swing kettlebells, trail run, or roller skate, he’s on a mission to inspire movement and open doors for people to feel and express themselves through the universal language of movement.
