Yoga Series: Vinyasa with Samyoga
Samyoga roughly translated means “when everything is perfectly united”.
My name is Brian Kolasinski and I founded Samyoga as a vehicle to help bring the foundational practices of yoga to more people. After practicing various types of yoga for over 15 years I decided to take my own practice deeper studying at a Gurukulam in Mysuru, India and obtaining teacher certifications in both Ashtanga and Vinyasa. Yoga for me has also provided an amazing combination of being an athletic endeavor with the unique benefit of also being able to help bring slow thinking and bring it back to center. Through unique “pop-up” events and classes that incorporate the physical practice (asanas), breath work (pranayama) and meditation, Samyoga seeks to make the practice of yoga more accessible while paying respect to the traditions of its roots.
In the one hour monthly Vinyasa class you can expect to be guided through a series of traditional poses with a focus on holding and maintaining them while focusing on your breathing, ending with a short guided meditation….We look forward to seeing you on your mat!
