Join us for a night in celebration of Bristol Bay, Alaska, a national treasure that’s in need of our help. Hosted by second generation Bristol Bay fisherman, Sammy Steen, Save Bristol Bay and the Ramble Hotel. We’re asking our Denver community to participate as we create action in response to one of the most important land-use decisions in North America in our time.
2020 presents a new set of challenges in the fight to stop the proposed Pebble mine from being developed at the headwaters of the most productive wild salmon fishery on the planet. To show what’s at risk, we will be screening segments of documentaries highlighting the fishery, the people and the threat that is Pebble. The films will be followed by a panel discussion with Bristol Bay commercial fishermen, and representatives from the recreational fishery, moderated by Bristol Bay documentary producer, Reuben Sadowsky. Salmon bites, and drinks will be served, with proceeds from the event going to the Save Bristol Bay campaign.
